The Vallarta Tango community is offering now Argentinean Tango dance classes every Saturday at 6:30pm at La Catrina Cantina in Puerto Vallarta.
Our community of Tango dancers in Puerto Vallarta has been looking for new venues to dance Argentinean Tango besides the J&B Dancing Club and now the owners of La Catrina Cantina, Mr. Juan Catrina and Mr. Joe Catrina have opened the doors to host small Milongas (Tango Reunions) every Saturday from 6:30pm for a couple of hours.
From 6:30pm to 7:30pm, an introduction to Argentinean Tango class was being held by teacher Victor. As he can’t come everyday to La Catrina, my dancer friend Andrea and I will teach some days this class. We are really looking forward to increase the interest in Tango so if you are curious, come to watch while you have a drink, or take the class. The class fee is mx$100 pesos. In one hour you and your group will learn and practice the walking basics, the tango embracement, some easy paterns and some fun moves to spice things up at the dance floor.
After the class, we will move to the terrace of Catrina Cantina to practice in a small Milonga. Other tango dancers from Puerto Vallarta might show up to dance. So welcome to the Tango and see you at the dance floor.
