It’s August, and during August we have lots of green gardens, humidity, strong rivers and my Dad‘s Birthday. Since 2024, my dad wanted to have all the close family together to celebrate his birthday with an international trip. However…
However, some problems didn’t allow us to plan the trip with a long time ahead as Germans. Among these problems were some health problems with my mom and also the passing away of my grandmother. However, after a quick visit to the doctor, my mom was allowed to to travel this August. So my brother Josh and I, did this last minute search of flights (Mexican planning) and we found a good deal to travel abroad. I am so excited because it is going to be the 26th country I visit in my long lifetime.
Dominican Republic
And the choosen place is Dominican Republic, the country with the biggest economy in the Caribbean and the birthplace of Bachata and Merengue dance and music. It is also the birthplace of popular artists such as Juan Luis Guerra, the grandfather of Bachata, and Romeo Santos (the modern father of Bachata). It is also birthplace of famous Merengue singers such as Wilfrido Vargas, Milly Quezada and Hollywood stars as Zoe Zaldaña. I know it is a must to visit Punta Cana, one of the most famous destinations in the Caribbean and as a hiker that I am, to explore all the waterfalls, lakes and mountains there.
If you have been there, I will love to have all your feedback and recommendations of places to go and things to do. Thanks! (Or as Dominicans say: “¡Gracias!”)
