Gala Big Steps

Before ending the year, Big Steps, the academy where I am currently teaching Cuban Salsa lessons, had their gala show at Teatro Vallarta. It was a great event where I performed with my students.

Avant la fin de l’année, Big Steps, l’académie où j’enseigne actuellement la salsa cubaine, a organisé son spectacle de gala au Teatro Vallarta. Ce fut un événement formidable où j’ai eu le plaisir de me produire avec mes élèves.

So the last week, the ballet, the jazz dance, the house and the zouk students of Big Steps academy in colaboration with other 2 dance schools, we had a big end of the year show at Teatro Vallarta. I am part of the jazz dance team of Big Steps but we didn’t have enough time to prepare something. But with the help of my partner in dance and friend Francia Betancourt and some of my students: Adriana, Aldahir, Alfredo, Mary, Mauricio and Sasha we performed a Rueda de Casino improvised number, and a choreography of a Cuban version of What a Feeling. La semaine dernière, les élèves de ballet, de danse jazz, de house et de zouk de l’académie Big Steps, en collaboration avec deux autres écoles de danse, ont donné un grand spectacle de fin d’année au Teatro Vallarta. Je fais partie de l’équipe de danse jazz de Big Steps, mais nous n’avons pas eu assez de temps pour préparer quoi que ce soit. Cependant, grâce à l’aide de ma partenaire de danse et amie Francia Betancourt et de certains de mes élèves : Adriana, Aldahir, Alfredo, Mary, Mauricio et Sasha, nous avons interprété une Rueda de Casino improvisée et une chorégraphie d’une version cubaine de “What a Feeling”.
