Era mucha la publicidad en torno a la nueva película de Ant-man que hasta se me antojaba no ir. Y después de la gran publicidad hecha a Avengers: Age of Ultron y el leve desencantamiento al ver la película, no sabía si esperar mucho de una historia en torno al heroe más diminuto de Marvel. Sabía que la historia no giraría en torno a Hank Pym (A quien ya lo habían borrado del mapa en las dos películas anteriores de Avengers), si no en torno a Scott Lang, el nuevo e irreverente Ant-Man salido de prisión así que no sabía que esperar. Además sabía que el villano en turno sería YellowJacket, uno de los tantos personajes creados e interpretados por Hank Pym así que no sabía que esperar. Incluso llegué a pensar que Hank Pym sería el villano de la película. Tenía sentimientos encontrados sobre si ver la película o no. Pero ya saben terminé llendo. Aquí les va lo que me pareció:

Inside Out

Inside Out

I went today to the movies. I wanted to watch Dragon Ball and I’ve already seen Starlord vs the Dinosaurs. Afterwards I had to go to a Salsa party and there where not many movies available. So we ended up buying tickets for Inside Out (Intensamente in Spanish). This time I haven’t read a lot about it before. Just today I watched the following meme about Pixar movies and I found it very hilarious.

MadMax

Mad Max:
A movie with excellent action choreographies of a hermit saving Victoria Secrets models from motorized religious albinos.

I personally think that the plot is totally lame. But I have to admit that the action scenes kept me at the border of our seats. It reminded me of those well made action scenes of Indiana Jones. The only thing I have to ask is if they were running out of natural resources, why they spend them on a truck with drums and a guitar hero. It was fun though!

A great action movie to enjoy with your friends!

Star Wars Day

Star Wars day is celebrated globally on May the 4th. The reason for this is just a game of words with the phrase “May The Force be with you” used in the movie with the way of reading the date in USA: “May The Fourth”

To conmemorate the date, I’m sharing what the guys from Vallarta Salads posted in their blog regarding the work of Japanese Chef Oki who has recreated Star Wars figures using carrots, potatoes, radishes and some artificial dyers. Enjoy and Let the Salads force be with you!

El 4 de Mayo se celebra mundialmente el día de Star Wars. Y esto tomado de la similitud de la frase “May The Force be with you” que se utiliza en la película con la fecha en ingles “May The Fourth”

A continuación les compartimos el trabajo del Chef Oki, de la ciudad de Kadoma en Osaka Japón, quien con papas, zanahorias, rábanos y un poco de colorante artificial para comida ha realizado sus antojos vegetales de Star Wars desde el 2007. El más reciente, es este que vemos arriba con Darth Vader hecho de Zanahorias.

¡Que la fuerza de los vegetales los acompañe!

Artistic Challenge Día 2

Artistic Challenge

Por la libertad absoluta y las posibilidades infinitas que otorga el arte para expresarnos… #ArtisticChallenge: Por 5 días tengo que publicar 3 imagenes de propuestas artísticas en las que he participado y nominar a 2 personas a que hagan lo mismo.

Día 2/5

1.- Mi primer intento como muralista usando gises del Kindergarten. La imagen es una representación colorida de la alumna Samantha Contreras haciendo Danza Aérea y la palabra Danza en varios idiomas. Quedó como una bonita combinación junto a las piedras de la fuente de Península. (Algún día cuando ya no pueda bailar, intentare dibujar más)

2.- Presentación de la coreo “Bombay Dreams” con fusión de ritmos latinos y música Hindi con mis alumnos del Saint Xavier’s College para el festival Khaos del IIM (Indian Institute of Management). Esto es en la ciudad de Ahmedabad, en La India.

3.- Coreografía de Salsatón “Street Salsa II” donde la talentosa Kenia y yo propusimos que pasaría si Chun Li y Ken Masters del videojuego Street Fighter tuvieran un duelo de Salsa y perreo. El baile fué originalmente montado para un evento del Instituto Vallartense de la juventud en Teatro Vallarta.
