Parece que la estrategia de comunicación de la Presidencia es no exponerlo más, no dejarlo hablar sin teleprompter y apostar por el olvido y la impunidad. Y el Presidente no se da cuenta del enorme daño que le está haciendo al país, a su gobierno y a su reputación.
Pero este nuevo escándalo le ha quitado a Peña Nieto la poca credibilidad que le quedaba y ha acabado con su autoridad moral. ¿Con qué cara puede un Presidente pedirle a los mexicanos que luchen contra la corrupción cuando no está dispuesto a hacerlo él mismo y en su propia casa?”

Corazones Salseros a San Sebastían

Corazones Salseros viajan a San Sebastian.

Les paso este dato por si alguien desea unirse a la causa.

Estoy en un grupo altruista que se llama Corazones Salseros y hacemos actividades de esparcimiento para gente de escasos recursos.
Este Domingo 11 llevaremos a los niños de la Casa Hogar Vida Nueva en el Coapinole a un paseo a San Sebastian, a Mascota y a la Yerbabuena con varias actividades incluidas.

El paseo es de 8am a 8pm. El costo es de $300 pesos que incluye su transporte y el de un niño al que apadrinarán y cuidarán ese día.

¡Si alguien puede y le late ir, bienvenidos. No tienen que ser Salseros pero si tener demasiado corazón, je je!

Malala’s Nobel Prize ceremony interrupted by a Mexican seeking for support to Mexico

Isn’t it ironic? While Norway’s Nobel fund was giving a well deserved prize to Malala Yousafzai for standing up against violence and repression on her country, they put in jail a Mexican who was seeking for international attention towards the corruption crisis of a criminal Mexican government that kills students who doesn’t agree with them.

I’m sure this was not the right way of doing things, but I’m also sure he was not seeking to “storm” Malala or threaten her with a flag. A big applause to the bravery of this young Mexican medicine student because he must be pretty much sure as we’re that Mexican ambassadors won’t help him get out of the jail. But he must be glad that his action (good or bad) will help the world raise awareness of the situation in Mexico. And by the way, as I´ve written before, congratulations to Malala Yousafzai, the youngest Nobel prize winner.

Roberto Gómez Bolaños, alias Chespirito, era un excelente artista en diversas disciplinas si nos ponemos a revisar algo de su trabajo al que no estamos acostumbrados. Tuve oportunidad de alguna vez leer un libro de poesía que él escribió y la verdad era muy bueno. También su obra 11 y 12 es una genialidad de la comedia. Un artista se hace extremadamente valioso cuando destaca por igual manera en diferentes disciplinas.
El mismo programa del Chavo del Ocho en Televisión tuvo una gran influencia a nivel Internacional. En países como Venezuela, Colombia, Perú y hasta Brazil (Donde fué conocido como “Chaves”) fué incluso quizá más popular que en México Mismo. He tenido la oportunidad de viajar y muchos latinos al saber que soy Mexicano, lo primero que asocian con México es al Chavo y a Chespirito.
Pero para muchas personas, esta fué precisamente una de las series que simbolizan a la televisión hueca y llena de estereotipos que la televisión trata de imponer para enajenar a las masas. Concuerdo parcialmente con esa reflexión.
Para bien o mal, sus personajes de Chespirito, Chavo del Ocho, Chompiras etc fueron explotados hasta el cansancio por Televisa y por él mismo, una “formula fácil” para ganar dinero, necesario para un artista, pero que a la larga, sepulta su capacidad creativa de generar nuevas ideas y proyectos.
Los mexicanos y los latinos estamos encariñados con los personajes por él creados y no somos ajenos a su muerte. Sin embargo, ahora con su muerte sospecho que Televisa aprovechará para seguir tratando de ordeñar la gallina de los huevos de oro lo más que pueda y el mismo gobierno tratará de aprovecharse de una “caja china” que no esperaban. “Lo sospeché desde un principio.” diría el astuto Chapulín.

So far 2014 is about to end, and I want to share a list of my top songs released this year. To choose them, I selected which songs I have played the most on iTunes and heard on Radio and Clubs. I added some extra points if those songs where used for any particular choreography, if they were a hit on my dance classes or if they have some special meaning for me. I tried to put from many genres. I hope you enjoy them and run to get those you like.

Ya casi se termina el 2014 y quiero compartir una lista de mis canciones Top que fueron lanzadas este año. Para escogerlas, seleccione entre las canciones que más he reproducido en iTunes, escuchado en la radio o oído en clubs. Les di puntos extras a las canciones que seleccioné para alguna coreografía en particular, si fueron un hit en mis clases de baile o si tienen algún significado especial para mi. A couple of weeks ago, Anel an L.A. style Salsa teacher friend from another academy was asking for English conversation sessions in exchange for Salsa lessons from her. I offered my help without expecting something in exchange. I was not really willing to learn “Salsa en línea” style. I’m totally Casinero (Cuban Salsa style)

However, as the English conversation sessions happened, I told her of my need to choreograph and perform something for the Party happening in J&B dancing club in 3 days. The dancing number I was expecting to show with my students from Shanti was not going to happen. Without hesitation she jumped to aid me.

Some months ago, I choreographed a nice Swing song called “Zoot Suit Riot” for the XV years old party of my dear student Rubi, so we decided to do a fresh couple version of this Swing number. Anel has never done a Swing before but she was very committed to learn.

3 days later, we got some clothes and did the number almost flawless. (We did have a mistake near the end of the song). I was not really expecting us to receive a brilliant answer from the audience. But most of the people cheered on us (Even the rival dancers who almost never say something).

I’m glad from this experience and I want to thank Anel for doing this number with me. I’m looking forward to continue the English lessons someday in the future. (At least she can practice by reading this.
